Arrow Trucking from Tulsa suspends operations

arrow-profile-imageYesterday evening, Tuesday December 22, 2009, Arrow Trucking Co., from Tulsa, OK, suspended operations. Go to the link for the article from the Tulsa World. Arrow had roughly 1,300 drivers when it went under. According to the article, the collapse is not being handled in a particularly smooth fashion, as hundreds of drivers are scattered throughout the country without fuel cards. Drivers have been instructed to take the truck to the nearest Freightliner dealer. The bank calling Arrow’s loans, Daimler Financial (Freightliner’s parent company), will provide drivers with a bus ticket home or $200.

Well, for all of the government’s happy talk about recovery, I’m not seeing it. I’ve had several customers tell me this is most challenging business environment they’ve ever seen. Hopefully, the Arrow drivers will be able to get home and find a job soon.
