motorcycle-rearend1Here’s one for you motorcyclists. This was emailed to me, so I have no idea if it’s true or not. It’s on the Internet, so it must be true! Right?

The motorcyclist in the pictures was driving 120 MPH in the early morning hours in Oklahoma, when he misjudges how fast he was overtaking a Yellow Freight truck. Those Yellow trucks are pretty slow, huh? He rear-ends the truck, with the following results. The punchline is, the motorcycle fool apparently survived, mostly because he was wearing his helmet. I guess the moral of the story is, “if you’re going to ride your rice-rocket at 120 MPH on the Interstate, wear your helmet”.

I received the email about this as well. I tried searching the net to confirm the story. Usually, I’ll go to snopes.com but couldn’t find anything there about this story. The pictures are quirky at best. The story claims that this guy survived. My question is this, if he was alive, why aren’t the emt’s working on trying to get him out of the truck in the pictures? I don’t believe that the pictures are real given that bit of common sense on my part. What’s your take?

Yeah, he looks pretty dead to me. Those EMT’s don’t seem too interested in prying him out of the Yellow Freight trailer. There’s another closeup picture of him (which I didn’t post, as it’s a little more graphic, which shows some blood trickling around the mask. So I guess the possibilities are 1) he’s dead, Jim., or 2) the pictures are completely fake. It’s amazing what you can do with computer technology now, as far as fake pictures goes. Remember Tourist Guy, standing on top of the World Trade Center, right before the plane hit it? Completely faked.

I work for Yellow freight and I’m sorry to say that (1) this is real (2) the young man is dead.

At least he died doing what he (presumably) loved.

I work at yellow also, and this really did happen. The guy died.

Well, I guess he’s really dead, seems like we have confirmation of that. I am in a less-than-charitable mood for him right now. Last week, we had an episode around here very similar to this. About 12 of these speed demons with their Crotch Rockets went blasting up US 222 racing at 8pm. US 222 is a 4 lane divided highway. 8pm!!!! Not like, the middle of the night or anything. Well, one sideswiped the other, who swideswiped a truck, and now 3 of them are spread all over the road. One even ended up in the opposite lanes of traffic.

My brother is a physical therapist at the Reading Hospital, so he got to work on one of these idiots. The funny thing was, these guys were like 30 and 35 years old. What are you, #@%#% stupid? Way too old to be that stupid. He had an “open book fracture” of his hip. I don’t know what that is, but good, hope it’s really painful.

So, yes, everybody is pretty unhappy with these irresponsible *ssclowns. They very easily could have killed somebody else doing that sort of thing.
