Here’s a weird story from the Houston Chronicle. According to the article, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) used a tractor-trailer, driven by an undercover informant in a drug sting operation. The informant worked for the trucking company, who owned the truck. The sting went bad, the driver was killed in a shootout with the bad guys, and the truck was riddled with bullet holes. One problem: the owner of the trucking company (and the truck) had no knowledge the government was using his truck. So now, he has a truck full of holes, and a dead employee.
Very strange story, it almost seems like there must be more to the story. After all, how can the government just commandeer private property, shoot it all to hell, and then not pay for it?
