I know, most of you hate NBA basketball, because there’s too many fouls, not enough scoring, nobody can shoot, etc., etc., etc. For the most part I agree, but this is the first Finals I’ve been interested in since the glorious run of the 76′ers in the summer of 2001. If you didn’t see Game 5 of the Cavs-Pistons series, then you missed one of the greatest games in NBA history. Double-OT, LeBron James scores 48, including 29 of the Cavs’ last 30 points, Cavs win. Last time I saw a game like that was probably Game 1 of the Sixers-Lakers series in 2001, when Iverson dominated in overtime, leading the Sixers to victory. Of course, they lost the next 4 straight, but that’s another story. The Cavs are a 5-1 underdog in the Finals, which is ridiculous. This will be a closer series than people think. Cleveland won both meetings between the two teams in the regular season. I’m backing the Cavs all the way. Will they get it done? Probably not, after all, they’re from Cleveland! Spurs in 6.
